Wedding Bands

I can't believe that we settled the weddings in just 1 weekend! Or rather in just 24 hours..!!!

went ring shopping on Sat at Orchard Ion, since there's a jewellery street with the usual shops.. don't need to walk too much to shop for rings.. Didn't look at the bigger brands like Tiffany or Cartier since we do not have a budget for them..  

Shopped for about an hour and we have narrowed our choices to Goldheart and Love&Co.. 

Went to check out the rings again after our church service.. and we finally settled for Love&Co..

I opted for a half-eternity ring to match with my engagement ring..  The actual ring is thinner than this..

I was contemplating if I should wear the WB by itself or to match with the e-ring.. I reckon that if I get a stand-alone WB, the search for our WB will be longer cause AH is a super-duper fussy man when it comes to ring.. He doesn't like thick rings, his current ring is the female version of the couple ring.. (yea we bought 2 female rings in different sizes back then) and he likes comfort fit rings.. We spent almost 1 month to search for the correct couples ring few years ago.. And also I would not want my WB to be worn out so fast, so in the end I decided that the WB should match with the e-ring and I would be wearing them on weekends, holidays or days that I'm not working.. I work in an environment that is not ideal to wear rings, especially expensive ones.. My SK couple ring has many scratches now and once the diamond on it fell off and I had to get it replaced.

AH got himself a matt platinum ring to match my eternity ring.. although it's not a comfort fit cut, but at least its "thin" enough to match his criteria.. oh ya, AH too will not be wearing the WB on a daily basis as he is very comfortable with our couple ring..  

Great idea to wear our WB on weekend basis so we won't get sick of them so fast! We are such unconventional couple!

The best thing about Love&Co is all rings are custom-made BRAND NEW !!  Unlike other jewellery shops, they will only custom make your rings if they do not have the stock in their warehouse..The price of our rings is also very reasonable!! Under $2k for both rings since they are having a 10% discount with some credit cards.. The downside of Love&Co is that engraving is not free, and they do not provide 1 free polishing service..

Now we just need to wait 3 months for the rings.. EXCITED!!!

Jie Mei Attire

This is one of the exciting topics of the meeting..

Nowadays its common for the bride to do up a set of JM dresses and present them as gifts to appreciate the help of the JM.. This dress is usually worn during the gate crash as a form of uniformity.. However, during the evening banquet, most JM will come in their own attire and thus no uniformity in the bridal party...

And since gate crashing is all about having fun, I've decided to let them dress casual for the day time.. I got inspirations from some brides on SGBrides and also some online bride website.. This is the inspiration I've gotten.. I'm planning to order these rhinestone iron-on transfer..and have them ironed onto a t-shirt or tank top, matched with jeans.. This will be the look for the gatecrash and this idea is so welcomed by the JM since they say its a fresh idea and they don't have to be to hot in the day time.. I'm so getting one "Bride" iron-on for myself and wearing that tank top during makeup!

We have also finalized the colour of the t-shirt or tank top.. to the colour of...

Fuchsia Pink!

The actual pink colour is slightly darker than this..and HY commented that this colour is so ME.. LOL~ Initially I had wanted them to be in white, since I thought bling bling look prettier on white backdrop.. but the girls wanted to look different from me, as I'm gonna be in a white WG, they wanted me to stand out from them.. so sweet right.. We actually combed shops from Ion, Wisma, Taka and finally found the right shade of pink at Pull & Bear.. The price was right too and there were sizes for all the girls! Now my job is to order the rhinestone decals from Etsy.. and have them ironed on to the tank tops!

To have the uniformity look for the entire AD, I would proceed on to tailor a dress for each of them in the colour of...

ROYAL PURPLE

Purple has always been the favourite colour for AH & myself.. my Vaughn Tan cocktail gown is also in purple.. Cheongsam also in dark purple.. and the theme for the wedding banquet is gonna be Fairytale.. and purple represent the colour of royalty.. and thus I'm settling this colour for the JM dresses!  Will be hunting down some shops that make JM dresses, and also find some design to compliment this colour..

Jie Mei Meeting #1

Had our very first JM meeting today!

met the girls after lunch at my fave TCC cafe.. it was kind of awkward and quiet in the beginning since they were 2 different group of friends.. 2 are my poly friends and 3 are my church friends.. They only started making conversations and got serious when I handed them the agenda for AD..

They go so high discussing about the games that they were gonna to play during the gatecrash.. ideas kept on flowing and we soon finalized the games they would play to "tekan" the groom and his band of brothers.. LOL..

Went on to look at the agenda for the day and their respective roles & responsibilities.. and since AH hasn't finalized his band of brothers, I  just wrote down the names of the brothers as Brother A,B, C, D & E.. and that really amused the girls.. Since this is only the first draft of the agenda, would update them as and when there's gonna be changes.. It hit me real hard to know that AD is coming in 4 months time!!

Then we proceed on to the JM attire for the day.. This got the girls real excited! The meeting ended about 4..and we actually proceed on to look for attire straight away! Will discuss more on the bridesmaid attire in my next post..

Before the meeting ends, I handed each one of them a handmade card to appreciate their help..and girls loved it! Pardon the low resolution from iPhone..

This meeting is really fruitful as we managed to settle most of the stuff.. As such, we can cut down the number of meetings since its really hard to gather everybody.. The next time we meet will be doing the JM dresses... Wee!

our wedding album is finally done! one thing ticked off the checklist..

very satisfied with the end-product.. and I highly recommend Just1book.. one downside is that there's a lot of part-timers working there.. and instructions may not be that clear.. so make sure you do the design well and send it for printing..
